getoutoftherecat:  NEW YORK ~ Freeport Animal Shelter is evacuating. They’re trying to move all animals out of the shelter right now. They desperately need dog crates and cat carriers (180 cats & 40 dogs). People can drop off crates at 71-03 80th St in Glendale Queens (718-362-6070). Also needed: blankets, flashlights, batteries, dog food, cat food.
